Director, Church of Perpetual Life
Neal's interests and beliefs are that the human species can stop and reverse the aging process. Neal views it as a disease that we can cure and believe this will come to pass within our life time, "The sooner we get this done, the more lives will be saved". In the late 1980's he became interested in the possibilities of extreme longevity and began researching to find other people and groups that were also interested. At that time Neal had some correspondence with Sir Arthur C. Clarke on the subject and began to fully immerse himself into true science fiction to speculate about some future possibilities for the human race. Neal discovered Alcor and the concept of Cryonics and thought of himself as an Immortalist since then. Then he met Dr. Aubrey de Grey in 2008 and flew out to LA to assist in any way that he could with his conference: Understanding Aging 2008.
Over the years Neal maintained contact with Dr. de Grey and others that he met and continued research and discussions. In December of 2012 he was introduced to Bill Faloon and began to assist with the creation of The Church of Perpetual Life, the worlds first brick & mortar Transhumanist Church. The Church of Perpetual Life had it's first service in November of 2013 and have had services ever since. The Church of Perpetual Life typically meet on the 4th Thursday of the month. This can vary as we have world-class speakers come and due to scheduling the presentations may be on other days.
